What equipment you need to open a beauty centre

How to choose your first machines based on the treatments you want to offer, when a multifunctional machine pays off and what to check before you buy.

Dermajet Unik professional multifunctional aesthetic machine

The short answer

You do not need to buy everything on day one. Start with the treatments you want to sell, choose the machines that cover them and expand when your schedule asks for it.

For most new centres, a good starting point is two or three machines that cover facial and body treatments, or a multifunctional machine that brings several technologies together in one unit.

Step 1: decide which treatments you will offer

Each treatment needs a technology. These are the machines used for each one.

Facial treatments

Deep cleansing, hydration, firming and anti-ageing. Clients come back for them, and they work well in session packages.

Body treatments

Firming, cellulite, localised fat and drainage. They are usually done in multi-session protocols that combine technologies.

Laser hair removal

A service with many sessions per client. You need a professional diode laser and training to adjust the parameters to each skin.

Step 2: one multifunctional machine or several?

Multifunctional

Several technologies in a single machine, such as the Dermajet Unik (radiofrequency, ultrasound, vacuum, endermology and light) or the Unik Bella (radiofrequency, vacuum and light).

  • Takes up less space: ideal if you have one treatment room
  • A single investment for many treatments
  • You combine technologies in the same session

Separate machines

A specialised machine for each treatment, such as a hydrofacial, a radiofrequency or a pressotherapy machine.

  • You can treat several clients at once
  • You buy gradually, as your schedule demands
  • Each machine is designed for its treatment

Three ways to start

Examples to guide you. We will help you adapt them to your premises, your clients and your budget.

  1. 1
    A single treatment room

A multifunctional facial and body machine, such as the Dermajet Unik or the Unik Bella, to offer many treatments without taking up more space. You can add a hydrofacial later.

  2. 2
    A facial-focused centre

A hydrofacial such as the Hydroage Essence for cleansing and hydration, and a radiofrequency machine such as the Smart RF Pro for firming and anti-ageing.

  3. 3
    A body-focused centre

Pressotherapy for drainage, plus vacuum therapy or thermolipolysis for cellulite and localised fat. If you want to add hair removal, the Nirvana Laser.

Step 3: what to check besides the equipment

The equipment is only one part. A centre that works also depends on training, technical service and numbers that add up from the start.

If you do not want to make the whole investment at once, ask us about financing or renting for self-employed professionals and companies.

Frequently asked questions

What equipment do I need to open a beauty centre?

It depends on the treatments you want to offer. To start, the most practical option is to choose two or three machines that cover facial and body treatments, or a multifunctional machine that brings several technologies together, and expand later based on what your clients ask for.

Is a multifunctional machine better than several machines?

A multifunctional machine takes up less space and is a single investment, which makes it a good option if you have one treatment room. With several machines you can treat several clients at once, and each machine is specialised in its treatment.

How much does it cost to equip a beauty centre?

It depends on how many machines and which technologies you choose. Our price guides explain what makes the price of each type of machine vary, with a calculator to see how long it takes to pay for itself. At Enco we will prepare a no-obligation quote.

Can I finance the equipment to open my centre?

Financing and renting are available for self-employed professionals and companies. Ask us whether they are available in your country and we will explain the terms with your quote.

Do I need training to use the machines?

Yes, and it is what makes the difference in results. Training is included with our machines so you can work safely from day one.

What licences do I need to open a beauty centre?

Requirements depend on your country, your local authority and the treatments you will offer. Check them before you sign for the premises and buy the equipment.
